Horatio Gates
When Horatio gates heard about the revolutionary war happening he came to George Washington’s service against the British army in May of 1775. Horatio and one other where the only two in the army who have had experience in the British army so Horatio had made systems of orders and rules and plans. Horatio always wanted to be in the field and command and in 1776 he was granted this opportunity and was upgraded to major general of the Canadian department. Then in may of 1780 he was put in command of a army to go south and defeat the general Cornwallis in the battle of Camden and Horatio was horribly defeated and the only accomplishment he had done was go 170 miles in 3 days. Once he found out that is son had died in October Horatio went home even though he was never put back in command he still went and fought in the continental army.
